ARMA, its chapters, and its members are dedicated to helping individuals, organizations, and government agencies successfully meet the challenges of the increasingly complex records and information management field.

Mission Statement Our mission is to advance and promote the field of records and information management through the support and shared values of our membership. The ARMA Boston chapter provides our membership a key resource of RIM knowledge and tools, to support the development of their RIM programs. We are dedicated to helping individuals, organizations and governmental agencies successfully meet the challenges of the increasingly complex records and information management field by providing educational and networking opportunities.

Vision Statement The future of records management is dynamic and ARMA Boston is positioned to provide leadership and guidance to our members by offering opportunities for timely information exchange and insight to evolving technologies and legal issues. The immediacy of new regulation and its application can be staggering, both financially and managerially. Our monthly meetings will provide RIM professionals with information on relevant topics from leading experts active in records/risk management and related fields. The objective of the monthly meetings is to provide:

• Guidance to navigate muddied legal waters

• Tools to mitigate risk and potential loss

• Relevant and applicable content on current RIM issues

Our members actively participate in committees designed to achieve our planned objectives by offering their valuable time and expertise. We work with colleges and universities throughout the New England region supporting and collectively promoting graduate level RIM scholarship. We also support and promote the ‘Certified Records Manager’ certification program for RIM professionals by offering study groups and tools.
