March 4, 2009 RMs Changing Role In Compliance, Privacy and Security The goals of this program are to manage risk, increase effectiveness and efficiency and reduce costs.  These goals are achieved through the use of a standard set of policies and standards, process and technology tools to support business analysis and record management systems.  ERM works closely with senior management from across the firm and partners with IT, Compliance, Legal and Risk to execute and monitor compliance.

December 11, 2008 Effectively Implementing and Managing Data Disposal & Destruction Failure to identify and control data destruction events can be disastrous to records management efforts. The amended Federal Rules of Civil Procedure are clear that ad hoc data destruction events will be severely penalized whether the destruction occurred during or prior to litigation.

November 20, 2008 e-Discovery Mock Trial ARMA Boston, Simmons College GSLIS and the Sedona Conference have joined forces to bring you a terrific 4 part series on Ediscovery. This last fourth part of the series will cover a mock hearing that will illustrate electronic discovery issues. The hearing will include a judge, defense and plaintiff counsel, and a records manager witness.

September, 25 2008 e-Discovery ARMA Boston, Simmons College GSLIS and the Sedona Conference have joined forces to bring you a terrific 4 part series on Ediscovery. This first part of the series will cover an introduction to the topic plus key concepts and issues involved.

June 7-10, 2008 Educational and Development Conference at the Saratoga Hotel & Conference Center, Saratoga Springs, New York. This conference is sponsored by 10 Northeast Region Chapters from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey and New York. The Northeast Region of ARMA has over 1,000 RIM professionals members.

Pre-Conference - Target Audience The Leadership Development Pre-Conference on June 7 - 8, 2008 is targeted for current and future chapter, regional and international leaders. All chapter members from any ARMA Northeast Region Chapter are highly encouraged to learn more about taking on leadership positions within their local Chapter, Region or International.
