Unstructured Content - The "Big Struggle" for Records Management and Information Governance

Please join us in welcoming Sandra Serkes, President and CEO of Valora Technologies as she interacts with us on real world case scenarios around automated classification practices that used predictive analytics and content data mining.

Date: 12/15/2016

Time: 11:30-2:00 P.M.

Location: Maggiano's Little Italy, 4 Columbus Ave., Boston

With so much of our corporate data squirreled haphazardly away in shared file, email and backup servers, how is a proper IG or RIM professional to make heads or tails of what’s being stored, let alone what should be stored and where?  Come learn about the emerging practice of automated classification of stored files using predictive analytics and content data mining.  Typical use cases include:

  • Automatic sorting of emails, attachments and loose files into case matter name/number folders

  • Programmatic analysis of contracts, email files, desktop and other personal file shares

  • Assessment of documents under legal hold, investigation or restricted access, including analysis and automated redaction of PII and PHI

  • Automated compliance with retentions policies for both paper and ESI

  • Taking cybersecurity beyond access rights and into techniques for cataloging the information present

Real-world case scenarios will be presented with interactive Q&A.

After this session you will be fully conversant in automated classification techniques, strengths and drawbacks.
